Galway native Máirín has a spectacular musical talent. Her fiddle playing has been lauded as amazing and unique and, as the featured soloist with Riverdance, she has performed to more than 25 million people worldwide.
Gerard’s ethnic tradition influences greatly his present musical style. In 1989, Gerard’s musical Tara, was performed in Galway’s Taibhdearc Theatre. The world premiere of Tara was at the prestigious Luxor Theatre Rotterdam in 2004.
Yvonne’s gift as a multi-instrumentalist is breath-taking to watch on stage. Yvonne plays bodhrán, whistles and accordion and constantly adds to her repertoire, composing melodic arrangements and rhythmic accompaniment playing keyboards, guitar, bass, bouzouki, percussion and more.
Guitarist and creative Director of Trad on the Prom, Chris Kelly began his musical career touring the World with Ceoltoiri Magh Locha. They performed "A Taste of Ireland" in Singapore, Australia, Hawaii, Canada and the United States. It was on that world tour that Chris met his future wife Maírín Fahy.
Pádraig Rynne is considered to be one of the finest musicians to evolve from Irish music in recent years. His experimental approach to music has led him to work and collaborate with artists such as USA popstar Michelle Chamuel, Breton music’s chart topping Gilles Servant and Irish music legend Donal Lunny.
Colm was immersed in music from a young age and went on to graduate from University College Dublin with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Music Degree.
Brendan Hayes (aka Benny) (Pianos, keyboards, vocals) is a singer and multi-instrumentalist from Portumna, Co. Galway. He has been playing music with the other members of the Trad on the Prom band in various incarnations since they were teenagers together.
