Dancing and playing music since aged 3, Máirín comes from a famous traditional music family. Her brother is piper Gerard Fahy, her sister is gifted musician Yvonne Fahy, and her husband is renowned traditional guitarist Chris Kelly – all stars of Trad on the Prom. Máirín played and toured with Riverdance for 8 years, playing to an estimated 2 000 000 in the UK alone and millions more worldwide. Máirín has played for Prince Rainer and the Royal Family at the Red Cross Ball, in Tokyo for the Emperor and has guested at the Royal Albert Hall, London, for the Princess Trust. Máirín has a unique voice and sings in both Gaelic and English.
