Anne Marie Keaney
Anne Marie began dancing at age four, literally following in the footsteps of her World Champion brothers Fergal and Cathal Keaney and dancing for the Hession School of Irish Dance in Galway. As well as winning back-to-back Connacht Championships, Anne Marie has earned top rankings in all the major competitions, placing 2nd in the British Nationals, 3rd in the Irish Nationals, 3rd in the European Championships and 5th in the North American Nationals. She has also won numerous All Ireland and World Championship medals.
Anne Marie is a qualified TCRG dance teacher and teaches full time with the Hession School, passing on her love for dance from beginners right up to World Championship level.
Anne Marie is the leading lady and dance captain with the show Velocity. They have performed a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017, followed by a sell-
out run in Broadway in 2018. They are just back from a US tour travelling from East to West coast performing all around the US. Anne Marie also joined the Riverdance cast in 2018 for their performance in Croke Park stadium for the Pope’s visit to
Ireland. She also performs with Joanie Madden and Cherish the Ladies and has performed on numerous of the Joanie Maddens Folk N Irish Cruises.
AnneMarie joined Trad on the Prom full time in 2011, following in her siblings’ footsteps, who have all performed in the show since the beginning. She cherishes being back on stage with her Trad on the Prom family every summer.
